Our Story

Born out of a burden for pastors who were never equipped, and growing, one small group at a time, into a movement across Africa and Asia.

HOW IT BEGAN

Like sheep without a shepherd

Everywhere our President travels across Africa and Asia, he meets vibrant congregations and eager new believers, and exhausted pastors carrying burdens they were never properly equipped to bear. CTN was born out of that burden.

Established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2019 after training began in 2018, CTN equips pastors with solid biblical knowledge, practical ministry skills and Christ-like character, not by importing foreign models, but by equipping indigenous leaders to shepherd their own people.

95%

of the world’s estimated five million pastors lack formal theological training.
