How CTN Multiplies Training from Leader to Pastor

CTN’s multiplication model equips leaders at every level to train, support, and multiply the next bringing practical pastoral training into local ministry contexts.

Five roles carry the training from national strategy down to a pastor’s weekly small group, each one equipping the next.

01

Ambassadors

National representation

Experienced senior leaders who represent CTN in relationships with partner denominations nationally and provide strategic leadership at the country level.

What Ambassadors do

  1. Cast vision to prospective partners and strengthen global relationships
  2. Establish country-level strategy aligned with CTN’s mission and training model
  3. Equip Champions in strategic planning and program implementation
  4. Promote peer learning and alignment across national leadership team
  5. Report on and evaluate national-level training outcomes

02

Champions

Organizational leadership

The strategic bridge between CTN and a denominational partner. Champions execute the organizational-level Strategic Pastor Training Plan and mobilize denominational leadership for implementation.

What Champions do

  1. Represent the denomination in partnership with CTN, and CTN to the partner
  2. Develop, execute, and sustain the national-level Strategic Pastor Training Plan
  3. Select Coaches with the capacity to identify and train Facilitators
  4. Enlist and oversee denominational leaders to support the training model
  5. Foster cooperation, accountability, and shared ownership among participants
  6. Oversee training assessment and reporting at the organizational level

03

Coaches

Regional oversight

Regional leaders equipped by CTN trainers who enable multiplication by selecting, training, and supporting Facilitators, while monitoring quality and reporting impact.

What Coaches do

  1. Provide regional oversight of CTN training implementation
  2. Select and train Facilitators on CTN training materials, philosophy, and methodology
  3. Observe group dynamics, promote engagement, and provide accountability
  4. Help Facilitators solve content, programmatic, relational, and spiritual challenges
  5. Report the impact of training on participating Pastors, and relay insights upward

04

Facilitators

Small learning groups

Local guides, not teachers, who organize and facilitate small learning groups, creating a safe environment for discussion, application, and accountability.

What Facilitators do

  1. Organize clusters of 3–12 Pastors from nearby churches, meeting once or twice a month
  2. Establish a welcoming, safe environment conducive to learning and honest dialogue
  3. Manage time and meeting format to cover training content effectively
  4. Encourage active participation and regulate group dynamics so all contribute
  5. Resolve conflicts and discourage judgmental or abusive behavior to prevent division
  6. Work closely with Coaches to overcome challenges and report progress and impact

05

Pastors

Strategic church leaders

Strategic church leaders responsible for preaching and teaching God’s Word and providing pastoral care. Pastors are at the core of CTN and are equipped to make disciples.

What Pastors commit to

  1. Commit to daily study of the training material and complete workbook and reflection exercises
  2. Meet once or twice a month with the small learning group, prepared to engage
  3. Pray, discuss, and collaboratively identify applications for real ministry life and context
  4. Respect the privacy of fellow group members and contribute to a culture of trust
  5. Persevere in spiritual, relational, and ministry growth through the training journey
